Who Are We?

Fincas & Villas was created in response to the demand for rental properties in the inland areas and coastal areas of the Costa del Sol.

We are an independant legally registered company, set up by Paul & Deborah Lomax, who run several very successfull internet businesses including the US based domain name registrar Freeparking and international software house Fibranet Services. Paul has also gained world-wide acclaim for his many books on software programming.

Our own experiences of renting properties - as both tenants and landlords - in the Alhaurin area convinced us that a change was needed. Many rental agencies advertise "No Commission". They tell the landlord there is no commission, and they tell the tennant there is no commission... so how do they make any money?? Many unscrupulous agents will ask you to pay two months deposit, you therefore think that at the end of the rental period you will get back two months rental... wrong! One of those months deposit is actually the agents commission. The agent will simply leave it up to the landlord and tenant to argue out who is going to pay that!
